Over the weekend, Asian #elephants Sissy and Winkie took a rainy day swim in the Asia Barn pond at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. Sissy (48) and Winkie (50) both retired to The Elephant Sanctuary in 2000. After surviving Gainesville's 1981 record flood, Sissy arrived at The Sanctuary reserved and cautious—it took several years before she began splashing and swimming in the ponds located in the Asia Habitat with her companion, Winkie.
